I am trying to set up a new instance of Cold Fusion 8 on one of our servers. We have a three-tier environment set up with a separate web server. The problem we are running into is that we want to be able to deploy compiled code. We are running through the multi-server configuration because we do not have JRun installed anywhere. We want to be able to deploy sites/modules separately which would be through a CAR file. However, if I am remembering correctly, CAR files are not compiled. We were going to use WAR files since they were compiled but we do not need deploy the entire application, settings, sites, etc. We just want to deploy the individual sites themselves.
