I have a CF8 app which gets updates from an ancient ODBC datasource at 15 min intervals. Generally it works fine, but once or twice a week it gets the error:
Error Type: Database Message: Error Executing Database Query. Detail: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC Socket][TSODBC]FrameRead:NetRead header This is unavoidable and could be caused by any number of reasons, primarily because the datasource is the other side of London, but what happens next is the problem; from then onwards CF8 seems to get 'stuck' with the error: Error Type: Database Message: Error Executing Database Query. Detail: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver]An internal error occurred. And it seems at least a CF8 service restart and sometimes a complete server reboot is the only thing which will fix it. Has anyone any ideas how to reset the SequeLink JDBC Driver in a more graceful fashion? Preferably automatically....
