Education & Experience: ⢠Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related discipline) with 5 years experience in software development, or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related discipline) with 7 years experience in software development. Description & Key Skills Required: ⢠The candidate's primary responsibility will be to provide database administration support. ⢠Additionally the candidate will perform some software engineering duties to support the integration of additional functionality into the system and/or modify existing system functionality. ⢠The primary role of this position is to provide Operations and Sustainment support to a production operational system that has an Oracle Database. ⢠Working, and practical, knowledge of Oracle Database administration functions, database structures and design. ⢠Develop and maintain scripts and programs for data exchanges and interfaces with external systems. ⢠Coordinate format requirements for data interfaces with mission critical systems. ⢠Technical POC for interface requirement issues. ⢠Provide general technical and network administrative support. ⢠Provide monthly status to the Technical POC. ⢠Provide metric reporting to client management. ⢠Provide monthly status to the Team Lead. ⢠Demonstrated user-centered service philosophy. Must Have: ⢠Database administration, including experience with backup and recovery; SQL, PL/SQL ⢠Support of database synchronization ⢠System migration and interface support ⢠Provide technical analysis and implementation support for system and functionality upgrades ⢠Experience with Unix operating system and Unix scripting ⢠Requires working knowledge of hardware, software and system analysis. Desirable Skillset: ⢠Hands on SW development experience ⢠Ability to perform any/all task within ORACLE/DBA lifecycle (design, development, unit/class testing, maintenance, documentation). ⢠Ability to function as part of a development team to include the use of a version control system.
