There is a fix for those others affected by this issue (quite a few of you
as it happens):

You will need to re-register MDAC at the Command line. Perform the following
commands one after the other keeping the quotes in the last 2:

regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\atl.dll

regsvr32 "c:\program files\common files\system\ole db\oledb32.dll"

regsvr32 "c:\program files\common files\system\ole db\sqloledb.dll"

Once this is performed your OLEDBs will work fine.
