Im not even gonna entertain Phillip with a response ill informed response :) I have benchmarked it on both platforms and it was pretty close. I would bet he has some code issues and if he is using one of the PHP CMS's (joomla,xoops). They are bloatware and that is probably 90% of his issue. Also if he is using session_start() php session handler and has a very high userbase he will get some slow downs if he doesnt come up with his own.
