Before you tear apart the CF installation, try testing the IIS function to ensure they work. Set up a directory and place a simple default index page in it. See if it displays with an .html extension. If it doesn't, you have an IIS problem.
If it does display, try changing the extension to .cfm and see if that page displays OK. If it doesn't, and the .htm page does, then you have a CF problem. Robert B.
