Yes, after you make the change noted below.

The "this" scope within Application.cfc does not point to the Application
scope, but rather the instance of the application, which contains the
attributes you'd have set in Application.cfm using the CFAPPLICATION tag. To
get your CFC into the Application scope, you use the Application prefix.
