I think I have misunderstood what I am trying to do. In Adobes docs I am having trouble deciding between doing another "standalone" instalation and multiserver.
It appears that I can also run the standalone and it will also install a fresh copy of JRun with 1.6.x jre.. I have taken a few days off to do some handy work on my ouse so I can keep you posted on my installation adventures next week.. I have to say I REALLY appreciate this forum and all the suggestions that have come from it, you guys are great and generous with your time Gus >> I have IIS 6 and CF6.1 On a dev server I want to experiment > >I would recommend that you either >- just uninstall 6.1 and move your development server to 8, >- or get a dedicated box for one or the other, >- or uninstall 6.1, install 8 multi-server, create a new JRun server >instance, then install 6.1 into that using the J2EE installation option. > >Dave Watts, CTO, Fig Leaf Software >http://www.figleaf.com/ > >Fig Leaf Software provides the highest caliber vendor-authorized >instruction at our training centers in Washington DC, Atlanta, >Chicago, Baltimore, Northern Virginia, or on-site at your location. >Visit http://training.figleaf.com/ for more information! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:313048 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
