>Railo vs BlueDragon vs Smith vs ??

Smith doesn't have anywhere near enough compatibility with CF, nor any
distinguishing features to set it apart - it would need a lot of work before
I'd consider it worth considering/comparing.

Railo vs OpenBD is probably going to end up in the same vein as the Unreal vs
Quake / vi vs Emacs / battles - i.e. both capable options so a matter of taste.

They both offer Jetty-based versions which allow you to download and go:
Railo Express - http://railo.ch/en/index.cfm?treeID=200
OpenBD Ready2Run - http://www.openbluedragon.org/download.cfm

Try them both and see which one you prefer.

Earlier this year I created a comparison of the features between ColdFusion,
Railo, OpenBD and BD.NET a while ago, but it is currently out of date - I'm
waiting to see what happens with the CFML Language Advisory Committee, and if
they make all my efforts redundant or not.
