That looks just about fine though I'd say the XmlSearch wasn't really neccessary with such simple xml, perhaps:
<cfloop array="#resultXml.Response#" index="variables.idx"> <!--- I wouldn't personally put idx in the request scope; it doesn't shout out as being related to the request ---> ....
