They are all behind a router together. No routers in-between. I am basically looking to see if anyone else has run into the situation with CF8 Standard.

It is possible for two servers with identical hardware, identical software, identical configurations running on the same network to function completely differently for reasons that would be impossible to determine without running diagnostic checks. Although it is curious that you have a router between your mail server and your ColdFusion server since that reveals a bit about how the network is set up.
