why don't you just use FILE and PATH attributes of CFHTTP?

<cfhttp url="http://[domainname]/diagrams/Downloads/cycling.zip";
getasbinary="auto" method="get" file="products.zip"
path="#getdirectoryfrompath(expandpath(CGI.script_name))#
"></cfhttp>
