OS/environment: Vista Business 64 bit, IIS, 64 bit Java EE 5, Update
6, 64 bit CF8.01
I was having issues (a known bug) with the cfimage tag so decided to
download and reapply updater 1 for CF8. Problem is, now I can't get
the CF service to start. So, I go to uninstall, thinking I'll just do
a reinstall. Nope, no dice. I get the following error:
ZeroGr8: C:\ColdFusion8\uninstall\resource\iawin32.dll not found

No problem says I, I'll just try to reinstall over the top of
CF8...surely that will work, right? Well, no. It doesn't allow me to
reinstall over the top of an existing installation as a standalone
server, it forces me into a multi-server installation. So, in a
nutshell, I'm now stuck.
Is there a way around this uninstall issue, or a way to force a
reinstall in a standalone configuration using IIS as the web server?
Thanks
Pete
