Would an established framework like Model Glue or Mach II work well with an
all AJAX app? From what I've heard those frameworks store lots of stuff in
the app, and session, scope.

Personally, I think this is a mistake. I would lean towards using a well
established MVC framework (Model Glue, Mach II, Fusebox, etc) as your
'facade'. The established frameworks will offer you far more flexibility,
functionality and code seperation than a single homegrown cfc ever could. In
other words, let the interface to your model (your components and there
business logic) be a fully fledged system that is designed for that purpose
as opposed to a linear, single file.

My two cents

Dominic
