Hi Phillip,
You have to edit a settings file. In your workspace folder, open
..metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.runtime/.settings/org.cfeclipse.cfml.prefs
and add this line at the end:

lineNumberRuler=true

Restart Eclipse and you should be on track.
