Hi, My ISP changed smtp access to use ssl. I have reconfigured my setting in outlook and all is well. Using the same values in cf8 admin i cannot connect to the server if i enable use ssl checkbox. If Enable SSL socket connections to mail server is not checked then when sending an email it's stuck in undeliverable folder and the following msg in logs: "Error","scheduler-1","01/06/09","11:17:03",Must issue a STARTTLS command first
I did some research on the issue and found a few sites: http://www.dougboude.com/blog/1/2008/02/Using-Google-as-your-CF-Mail-Server.cfm followed the instructions but still no go. this was for google. I don't use google and the port is still 25 Is there a step by step place with how to do CF8 email over ssl for dummies.
