I am having the same problem with DW I found this posting online http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb402776 followed the directions and it is still crashing.
I have been so unproductive behind this that i decided to install eclipse. That became a nightmare as there is not good documentation on how to set it up.
