That is the solution. Since HoF wasn't working that day I eventually discovered that was what was needed. I must say that the documentation wasn't much help in understanding the purpose of this parameter. I had assumed that it meant that the processing would follow the location of the cfhttp tag and execute in a synchronous fashion, as opposed to setting it to no and have the program not follow the cfhttp location and act in an asynchronous manner.
