not seeing the need to convert the query to a struct.

(or, if you don't want to fully qualify the names...)

</cfoutput>
depending on how your app is structured, you may need to do some checking
before placing the query into the session. maybe something like:
<cfif not structKeyExists(session, 'myQuery')>
<cfset session.myQuery = myQuery />
</cfif>
