That might very well be your culprit. My wife's computer will occasionally reboot at about 3 am if Windows decides to install an update. It's quite startling to get woke out bed in the middle of the night by the sound of your computer restarting across the room.
If this is the problem, it sounds like we have two questions: 1) Why is Hotfix Rollup 1 being installed over and over again every night? (Did I understand that correctly?) 2) How do you turn off the automatic restart after updates are installed.
