You should be able to do this but I haven't tried it.

<table border="1" >
   <tr>
      <th width="20%" > Name </th>
      <th width="30%" > Asset </th>
        <th width="30%" > Category </th>
   </tr>

   <CFoutput query="qEmpAssets" group="eName" >
   <tr >
       <td > #qEmpAssets.eName#  </td>

           <td > <CFoutput> #qEmpAssets.aTitle# <br /></CFoutput> </td>
           <td > <cfoutput>  #qEmpAssets.cCategory# <br /> </cfoutput></td>

   </tr>
   </CFoutput>
</table>
