Set a file to record the response from the schedule task. Any response including HTTP status OR CF errors are a "successful" run according to CF. 97.894% of the time, the problem as described is a URL that is protected by Windows Integrated Security which works for you and your Windows browser but does not work for ColdFusion and it's NOT Windows browser.
