YUI, and Yahoo Autocomplete Widget is excatly what is behind the built-in cf8 autocomplete feature.
I have just tested it with a 300 char long string, and, with addition of css i have posted previously, it displayed just fine... mind you, if you have a , (comma) in the value displayed in the autosuggest, it WILL break the line at the comma position.
