Francois, I guess it's not clear that the code I included beginning with <HTML><HEAD>.... is the correct response using the URL using a browser.
I'm thinking now that possibly because the other server is not a CF server I may need to use cfhttpparam. I do not use this on several cfhttp-based pages that we use from within the network/site.
