I did a similar thing by sending a fax to the remote locations. Worked nicely. The fax told them the job, and also told them to acknowledge receipt on the website.. so they would go to the website and a list of pending jobs was waiting for them, in case they missed a fax somehow.. Then they just check off the completed items.
