I haven't seen it, but the thought occurs to me that you might try changing the mapping. I'm guessing you're using the default webserver root mapping / -- it's possible that adding a /images mapping might resolve the issue at least temporarily. Or switching between setting the mapping in the CF Admin versus setting it in the Application.cfc.
