What Os are you ysing? Check your webroot (usually a folder called htdocs if using apache) and see if it contains a cfide directory. You may have installed CF in another location without noticing.
BTW I set up CF9 on OSX on top of MAMP yesterday, if anyone needs any pointers come and see me... it took hours to get going. In fact, I should probably blog it.
