No limit to threads on Enterprise Edition, but no CF edition allows child threads. Total buzzkill. Fortunately, with native threads can be leveraged with Groovy or JavaLoader's CFC-based dynamic proxies. Neither one is particularly elegant, but at least you can do it, since CF itself doesn't provide the tooling.
