OH!!!!! my apologies everyone! I certainly didnt intend to invite the WHOLE list to linkedin (although if you personally want to link, that's great). I went through my gmail contacts list in LinkedIn and sent invitations. One of the names it listed out must have been attached to the list address rather than the person's personal email address.
