Thanks Gabriel, I will probably using TQL to construct a query and then paas it to Transfer object to do the rest. Somewhat like this(code taken from http://www.aliaspooryorik.com/blog/index.cfm/e/posts.details/post/171)-
*************************************************************** <cfsavecontent variable="tql"> SELECT Book.Name , Bookshelf.Name FROM library.Book as Book JOIN library.Bookshelf as Bookshelf WHERE Bookshelf.BookshelfID = :id ORDER BY Bookshelf.Name </cfsavecontent> <cfset query = getTransfer().createQuery( tql ) /> <cfset query.setParam( "id", "1", "numeric" ) /> <cfset result = getTransfer().listByQuery( query ) /> *************************************************************** So, (in my reporting scnerios as described above) will I get performance benefits using transfer this way? Will that cached data be used or will tansfer go to DB to get all data again..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
