Good feedback. Glad to see I'm not the only one who has had some struggles here.
I'm not the CF admin for the production sites I use, so I'm a bit unsure of exactly what is configured. But on my test site, when I look at my session variables, sessionid is always correctly set, whether http or https. And I have done nothing specific to pass the CFid or CFtoken. The doc on CFLOCATION doesn't say whether the default is ADDTOKEN yes or no.
