I also just migrated a large eTraning app from CF8 32bit to CF9 64bit Win2k3 -> Win 2k8.
It was painless. The CF9 installer works really well with IIS 7.0 and 7.5 now. We only had a few issues where local.something was treated differently under cf9 but that was fixed in about 2 mins. Perfomance has been great.
