Maybe a container around it all with a certain width might do the trick? Or a full HTML-page with html-tag, body-tag, etc.? I cannot see anything wrong with your code either, but possibly there is some HTML somewhere (or CSS) that is screwing up the alignment of the two tables. Or it could just be your email-client that's just really broken ;-) That happens a lot! Good luck hunting this down.
