You'd think, right? :) I haven't even looked at the code yet. Just came onto this project last nite. But the previous developer is a friend and I trust what he says. He wrote the current site, and he told me in no uncertain terms that the time zone issue would not be even remotely easy to remedy via code.
I don't know why, exactly, but I trust what I've been told. At some point I'm sure I'll dig into the code and find out. But for now, it looks like moving hosts will be the path of least resistance.
