CF definitely uses V2. You can see it in the JS libraries requested. You can always just use Google Maps "naked" - I did for the first time last weekend: http://www.coldfusionjedi.com/index.cfm/2010/10/2/Centering-a-map-when-you-dont-know-where-to-center-it
