Do you mean a DNS Name Server Database? There ain't "one"...there's
hundreds...it's a distributed hierarchical system. Each DNS Name
server has a section of the whole. You can read about it as RFC 1034 and
RFC 1035 at www.rfc-editor.org
There used to be "one" ...was called "hosts.txt" on the old
ARPAnet...wasn't too much of a problem to keep a centralized file when
there were only a couple of hundred sites...but every time a change was
made every host needed to download a new copy... would be impossible to
manage now...from what I understand DNS is designed to potentially address
every computer on the planet...(that's a pretty big download...even with
cable...hehe)
