Why do people reply to the current thread as if you are responding to them?

Would it not be a good idea to remove all so that people will know who you
might be replying too?

I personally responded and see that the next person Russ, is responding to
my post and I am and have nothing to do with the original poster.

Come on it is only common sense guys.
