That would be a very good example why you test everything you can before migrating to production.
One question I will have to ask though, is this update replacing the JVM installed in the ColdFusion directory or have you pushed the config changes to point to the new JVM? Also it would be worth noting on whether you have indeed d'loaded the correct version of the JVM did you install a 32bit JVM on a 64Bit ColdFusion installation or even the other way around?
