Is this even possible. Some internet searching is giving me hints about projects like Mono and DotGNU. Are these (or something else) viable ways to run an .NET web application on a Unix box?
Or is this just a crazy idea. Our organization has a contract to produce an external web application to bring one of our business processes on-line. Just yesterday it was revealed that this project will be done in .NET. But we do not currently have external windows web servers. So now the question is do we rush out and acquire an windows box to be an external server. Or is there some practical way to run a .NET application on a Unix web server? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:341052 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
