The first thing that comes to mind it stealing your potential clients. They come to the site and get someone else on your rep. The second thing is much like the first but involves some sort of scam. The third is an attempt to ruin your reputation. This is not a case of flattery but a direct attack. The only question is why and your response should be to both track them down (which you've started) and be ready to alert the law as soon as you see what they're really up to.
