Curious why you are going with Windows 2003 x86 ( I assume you already have these licenses) over 2008 R2 x64 the speed difference is humungous.
Also how much of this are you purchasing new as to comparing with what you already have? I am wondering whether it might be cheaper to throw more hardware, ram at the current boxes and Virtual Machine the instances.
