Ryan Try this as you CFHTTPPARAM: <CFHTTPPARAM TYPE="FORMFIELD" NAME="signuppkt" VALUE="#URLEncodedFormat(Attributes.signuppkt)#"> Thanks, David Sparkman Application Development Team Leader Weberize, Inc. http://www.weberize.com -----Original Message----- From: Ryan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, December 27, 2000 3:57 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: CFHTTP and problems with spaces in WDDX packet I am trying to pass a WDDX packet to another page through CFHTTP. I keeps throwing errors on a space in the data. One of the strings in one of the variables in the WDDX packet has a string in it. This is user entered data, it could have lots of string in it. I try to pass it over like this: (At this point Attributes.signuppkt is a base64 encoded WDDX packet) <CFHTTP URL="#signup.setupurl#" METHOD="POST" NAME="setupsite" RESOLVEURL="false"> <CFHTTPPARAM TYPE="FORMFIELD" NAME="signuppkt" VALUE="#Attributes.signuppkt#"> </CFHTTP> Then on the called page I try to de-serialize it with <CFWDDX ACTION="WDDX2CFML" INPUT="#ToString(ToBinary(Attributes.signuppkt))#" OUTPUT="signup"> But I get this error: XML parsing error: not well-formed (error code 4, line 1, column 56, buffer offset 56) This is because its hitting that space in the data. I've tried running ToString(ToBinary(Attributes.signuppkt)) before I pass it over, just to pass it over as a plain text WDDX packet. It is truncated at the first space. I am displaying the value I'm using in the CFHTTPPARAM tag on the screen, so I know the data I'm passing over is OK. I've tried using URLEncodedFormat on it too. When I compare the before and after data (this is before I un-base64 it) the only difference is where there are pluses in the before data, the after data has actual spaces! I've been working on this for hours. All I need to do is pass a WDDX packet between servers. Big headache now...
