All the alternatives have their advantages and disadvantages. Well the obvious advantage is that they are FREE. you wont get the proprietary features that are Trademarks of Adobe, but both Railo and OpenBlueDragon have their own unique features that CF doesn't have as well. The best test is to try both and see if your app works on them without issue, and then look at their unique features.
