Paul, I just got off the phone with the head of the shared hosting division of Hosting.com. He assured me they have no plans to discontinue ColdFusion. In fact he said they just announced recently they had added ColdFusion 9 hosting to their plans.
Please tell us who gave you that information from hosting.com.
