I think you'll find that all of the "powerful voices" in CF have been begging Adobe to do more for years.
I'd agree with you though about Ray, Ben, and a few others. They're so prolific that it's all too easy to let them shoulder the burden of preaching "that CF stuff". Finally, I think this state of denial does not benefit anyone; it would be much better if the powerful voices in the community acknowledged that more needs to be done to give Coldfusion the place it deserves. Attacking the messenger is not going to get much done.
