An ssd is just a special type of disk that uses solid state memory instead of traditional platter type hard disks. As a result it is faster for booting, launching programs etc. It makes no difference at all in what software you can install or how you install it. It will make significantly noticable difference to coldfusion as cfml pages are.compiled to class files and stored in memory. Ssd makes the most difference to rdbms like mysql or mssql which involves lots of iops
