Neither will do what you want them to. CFAS runs on the server and has no
interaction with the client other than spitting out HTML in response to a
request. You will need to delve into the world of Signed ActiveX controls
or Java applets to accomplish this task. On a different note, you can use
WSH (Windows Scripting Host) to accomplish this if you use IE only. There
are security settings (and Risks...) that will need to be assessed, but I
beleive that it can be done.

Subject: CFX_ShellExec vs. CFEXECUTE

Are CFX_ShellExec vs.CFEXECUTE the same? I am looking for something that
will allow me to launch an app on a user's machine. (This is in a controlled
Intranet where the apps are on a network drive).
