On rare occasion I've had a JVM refuse to get onto the correct timezone, while new and having the correct timezone data and the server having the correct timezone data and even reporting the correct time.
1. Make sure the JVM is reporting the correct timezone. 2. if its not, you can force it with this JVM arg in jvm.config -Duser.timezone=America/New_York If it's reporting the correct timezone, then I think we need to start looking for bugs with JVM 1.7. Unsure about that though.
