I currently use ColdFusion 9,0,1,274733 Standard, stand-alone edition on Windows Server 2008 R2 with Java Version 1.6.0_17 from Java Vendor Sun Microsystems Inc. with Java Home located at C:\ColdFusion\runtime\jre. I am receiving prompts to update the installed version of Java on my servers to 1.7.whatever. WITH REGARD TO COLDFUSION'S PROPER FUNCTIONING, should I install the Java updates when prompted? If so, should I install the updates in C:\ColdFusion\runtime\jre overwriting what already is there so that my CF Server recognizes the updated Java version, install the Java updates elsewhere on my computer where there is no impact on my CF Server, or ignore the prompts to update my Java installations?
