Maybe also try another Gmail account from CF when the issue crops up. This with Russ 's suggestion would narrow it further to a CF, server or Gmail account issue.
Also, do your from addresses in the emails match your Gmail account? I can see them potentially blocking if not, thinking the account was compromised, and locking the account for a time period.
